Idea prvn\u00edho vozu byla takov\u00e1, \u017ee v\u016fz m\u011bl dosahovat rychlosti 100 km\/h, m\u011bla v&nbsp;n\u011bm b\u00fdt \u010dty\u0159i sedadla, \u00fasporn\u00fd na spot\u0159ebu paliva a jeho cena se m\u011bla vej\u00edt do tis\u00edcovky \u0159\u00ed\u0161sk\u00fdch marek. Za konstrukt\u00e9ra tohoto vozu si Hitler vybral osv\u011bd\u010den\u00e9ho Ferdinanda Porscheho. Ov\u0161em \u00fapln\u011b prvn\u00ed n\u00e1kres zaoblen\u00e9ho automobilu navrhnul s\u00e1m Hitler, kter\u00fd se inspiroval designem \u010desk\u00fdch voz\u016f Tatra. A tak vznikl prvn\u00ed Volkswagen Brouk. Inspiraci Tatrovkou ale n\u011bmeck\u00e1 automobilka dlouho odm\u00edtala, uznala ji a\u017e v&nbsp;roce 1961, kdy vyplatila jednor\u00e1zov\u00e9 od\u0161kodn\u00e9 \u010ceskoslovensk\u00e9mu st\u00e1tu. B\u011bhem II. sv\u011btov\u00e9 v\u00e1lky se automobilka musela st\u00e1t zbrojn\u00edm podnikem a v\u00fdroba civiln\u00edch automobil\u016f byla pozastavena a za\u010dala se zde vyr\u00e1b\u011bt vojensk\u00e9 ter\u00e9nn\u00ed vozidla. V\u00e1lka je tak\u00e9 smutnou etapou podniku v&nbsp;tom, \u017ee zde b\u011bhem n\u00ed byly dv\u011b t\u0159etiny zam\u011bstnanc\u016f na nucen\u00fdch prac\u00edch. Po skon\u010den\u00ed v\u00e1lky byla v\u00fdroba osobn\u00edch automobil\u016f obnovena, ov\u0161em ji\u017e pod britsk\u00fdm veden\u00edm. Od roku 1946 a\u017e do roku 1948 automobilka vyrobila ji\u017e tis\u00edc voz\u016f m\u011bs\u00ed\u010dn\u011b. V&nbsp;roce 1950 za\u010dal podnik vyr\u00e1b\u011bt model Transporter, kter\u00fd pod t\u00edmto n\u00e1zvem vyr\u00e1b\u00ed dodnes. V&nbsp;pades\u00e1t\u00fdch letech tak\u00e9 za\u010dala automobilka sv\u00e9 modely vyv\u00e1\u017eet do sv\u011bta a postupn\u011b zalo\u017eila dce\u0159in\u00e9 spole\u010dnosti na v\u0161ech kontinentech. V&nbsp;\u0161edes\u00e1t\u00fdch letech postupn\u011b odkoupila cel\u00fd pod\u00edl automobilky Auto Union GmbH a p\u0159ejmenovala ji na dnes zn\u00e1mou Audi. I sedmdes\u00e1t\u00e1 l\u00e9ta byla pro koncern velmi \u00fasp\u011b\u0161n\u00e1, zah\u00e1jila se toti\u017e v\u00fdroba dnes nej\u00fasp\u011b\u0161n\u011bj\u0161\u00edch model\u016f Passat a Golf. V&nbsp;osmdes\u00e1t\u00fdch letech se spole\u010dnost rozr\u016fst\u00e1 o novou \u0161pan\u011blskou automobilku Seat a v&nbsp;devades\u00e1t\u00fdch letech z\u00edskal i \u010deskou \u0160kodovku.
